North East Wales Skills Academy is a landmark initiative designed to empower individuals, contribute towards the revitalisation of the local economy, and create a brighter future for the region.
This ambitious project has been conceived by Gatewen Training Services with a view to delivering, under one roof, the objectives of several successful bids secured through the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund, and promises to bridge skills gaps, boost employability, and contribute towards building a stronger, more vibrant North East Wales.
Multiplying opportunities:
The Academy’s cornerstone programme, the UK Government’s Multiply initiative, specifically targets adult numeracy skills. Bespoke courses, mapped across HGV, PCV, C1 and FLT/Warehousing pathways, will equip participants with the confidence and competency to achieve formal maths qualifications. Upon successful completion*, a select number of participants will be offered the opportunity to access FREE professional training, leading to them qualifying as professional HGV/LGV/PCV/C1 drivers or FLT Drivers/warehouse operatives.
